This Data Access and Deletion Policy outlines how Fireup Events Limited (“we”, “us”, “our”) manages personal information collected through its event ticketing portal, in accordance with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.
1. Purpose of Data Collection
Personal information is collected during the ticket purchase process and event participation for the purpose of:

2. Data Retention Period
Due to the nature of the events we run and in alignment with public health and safety considerations:

Personal information provided at the time of ticket purchase will be retained for a minimum of 60 days after the conclusion of the event.

This retention period enables us to respond to any health-related incidents, manage post-event merchandise fulfillment, and resolve individual support requests.
After 60 days, information that is no longer required for the above purposes will be securely deleted or anonymized in accordance with Information Privacy Principle 9 (IPP9) of the Privacy Act 2020, which requires that personal information not be kept for longer than necessary.

You have the right to request access to any personal information we hold about you, under Information Privacy Principle 6 (IPP6).

4. Requesting Deletion of Personal Information
You may request that your personal information be corrected or deleted under IPP7, subject to the following:

If your request is made after the 60-day minimum retention period, and the data is no longer required for any of the purposes outlined above, we will action your request as soon as reasonably practicable.

If your request is made before the 60-day period, deletion may be delayed until after this period, in line with our legal obligations and public health responsibilities.
